A little far-fetched, although they've done neoprene/scuba type fabrics recently.

Agreed. A stretch. Scuba (read: Balenciaga) to me is shape-centric. This is just aquatic.
I do agree with your questioning of originality though...
glad you both agree. was beginning to think i was the only one not totally cavelling (sp? it's a "clueless" word...) over the collection.
