I didn't know about the carrot Banana Republic is dangling in front of us this weekend until Danielle of Final Fashion mentioned it on Twitter... but it's pretty bitchin', and though I don't normally promote retailers for any reason other than sheer obsession/excess drool, I would love for one of you to win an extra year's salary (if some dreadful accident occurs and I don't).

Beginning Friday, September 3 and ending Monday, September 6, customers can walk into any one of Banana Republic’s U.S. and Canada stores to receive a game piece which will award them 15%, 25%, or 50% off their purchases during the Labor Day Weekend. (No purchase is necessary.)
One grand prize winner will win a match of their annual salary up to $100,000, with a minimum payout of $50,000 even if they don’t have a salary.*

EveryJoe says that Banana Republic’s Facebook fan poll asked how a winner would use their winnings. Respondents indicated that they would:
- Quit my job, turn off my alarm and sleep in for a year: 3%
- Stockpile the cash, change nothing: 14%
- Buy an expensive new toy 1%
- Pay off personal debts: 30%
- Start my own company: 11%
- Help a friend, family member or charity: 7%
- Take a dream vacation: 32%
I think first I'd go to the dream vacation spot, throw my phone in the ocean and THEN turn off the alarm. After I bought this.
I mean, ummmm, first I would donate half to those in need, then pay off my car, and then... keep working like a responsible human being. Right.
